I have always felt that personal home pages were exercises in self-indulgence.  I can be as self-indulgent as the next person.

So... 

This is my home page.  I have no idea why I need this, but I have begun to feel out of things without a site.  So I will sacrifice time to conform to the prevailing societal pressure to tell everyone my deepest and darkest thoughts and desires--and the books I've read recently.

You can all rest easy now. 

I have a job.  It pays the rent.  That's enough about that.

I am owned by a cat named Michi.  She allows me to share an apartment with her as long as I give her food at the right times and scratch where and when I'm instructed to.

I like thinking important thoughts.   I also like having rules in my life.  Now you too can live by my rules.  Consider yourself fortunate.

I am one of those folks who does her investing on the internet.  Check out how I'm doing.

I have been a sports fan all my life.  The primary team I follow is the Wisconsin Badger women's basketball team.  I followed them when we considered 500 a large crowd.  Now 5,000 is small.  I occasionally have been known to share an opinion or two.  I will do this on my Badger women's page.

The internet has allowed those of us who follow Big Ten women's basketball teams to keep track of our opponents.  I have some fascinating information, and, of course, more of my opinions on the league on my Big Ten page.

When I'm not waiting on Michi or following women's ball, I spend much of my time with a book.  Almost always a mystery.  I've read mysteries since I was a mere child, which of course was just a few months ago.  To find out what I'm reading, what I think of it and what authors I love check my mystery page.

I'm active on various email lists.  There are people on those lists that think they know me and know what I'm like.  They are wrong.  I have always thought you could tell a lot about a person by the music they enjoy.  If you want to know more about me, you can check out my list of artists and their pages.

You can say what you want about Bill Gates but this site, like many others, works better with Internet Explorer than Netscape.
